Working in Thailand, Company Setup, Work Permit

This section has been created to help people working in Thailand, or planning to work here, or preparing to register a company and start a business in Thailand.

Many will come under sponsorship from a company, and on an expat package, with their way mostly paved by their employer so that they don't need to deal much with officialdom because their company has people handling that for them. These people may find some information here of use to them in understanding what's going on around them.

However, many other people will come to Thailand as entrepreneurs, and want to start up their own business. We helped many of these people with potential business analysis, company registration, work permit, office setup, and many other things.

Some people want to purchase a business here, and we can help you with that, too.

In 2006, around the time of the first of two military takeovers of the 21st century in Thailand, we stopped company registration and setup for a broad range of expats due to the laws and regulations changing. This unpredictable environment resulted in our pausing our company setup business. As other parts of our business took off, we never returned to this as a business like before, though we have helped some expats with this who we have developed a special relationship with.

There were some phases of changes, but the laws and regulations stabilized again.

I do still advise and help some expats starting up a business, or considering doing so, but no longer advertise it as a service to the general public.

I also give out a lot of free guidance and advice below. Some things may be a little bit out of date so I recommend you double check things.
